andreas.gr has been built with dedication and enthusiasm. It began life on the Internet in February 1999. The current redesign (v2) took over 6 months and was completed in January 2005.

For web development, Macromedia Dreamweaver was used exclusively. Almost all pages are static and are based on a parametric template. Overall, this website has been designed for Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer (in order of priority).

All graphics (with rare exceptions) were designed from scratch usιng Adobe Photoshop, based on photographic material taken from indoor shots with a Sony digital camera. Adobe ImageReady was used to develop the home page animations.

Emphasis was given to the use of CSS for text formating - stopdesign has been an inspiration here. Page layout employs tables for now.

The photo album was created thanks to JAlbum and creative use of javascript. The weblog is powered by Movable Type, an excellent, free perl-based blog engine, that was a breeze to setup.

This website is hosted by Parcom, an excellent, family-run company, since 2001. Technical operational data (such as uptime and server software) are available from Netcraft.
